Radio

You wouldn't think that radio could have a destructive side, but it does.  For instance, the execrable Howard Stern was introduced to Canada by two of the country's large, mainstream broadcast conglomerates.  He stayed on the air for several years, spewing revolting garbage into southern Ontario during the early morning hours when the kids could listen.

Stern was eventually given the boot from mainstream radio, but he was brought back to Canada on satellite in February 2006.  The consortium that brought him back includes our publicly funded broadcaster, the CBC!  Our tax dollars at work.

There is some crossover between Television and Radio topics, so refer to both sections on this site to get information on broadcasting.
